Was für eine Rebsorte! Sangiovese ist der Grund dafür, dass die ganze Welt auf italienische Weine wie Brunello di Montalcino, Rosso di Montalcino, Chianti (Classico), Morellino di Scansano und Vino Nobile di Montepulciano so versessen ist. In allen diesen Weinen macht Sangiovese mit viel Säure, viel Tannin und viel Power den Großteil aus; für Brunello und Rosso sind nicht einmal andere Rebsorten zugelassen! Und da die Toskana nun einmal das wichtigste Anbaugebiet für Sangiovese ist und er dort so wunderbar gedeiht, ist auch in den meisten Supertoskanern, so revolutionär sie sich auch geben, ein guter Anteil Sangiovese.
