Carbonnieux ist durchaus sehr kraftvoll für den Jahrgang, und es steht ihm gut. Der Wein ist sehr balanciert und zeigt geschmeidge Fruchtnoten bei sehr gut integriertem Tannin. 40% neues Holz, 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot,5% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot.

Violet reflections, touches of chocolate and rosemary spice, still the savoury fruit that is typical of the vintage, clearly concentrated, but well balanced overall. 2% Cabernet Franc completes the blend.
